Martin Stenstad Selen

Martin Stenstad Selen (born 1996) is a Norwegian songwriter, musician, and producer originally from Tønsberg.

He studied music at Kristiania University College and is currently the guitarist, producer, and songwriter in the bands Fixation and Djerv.

As a songwriter and producer, Selen has worked across both the Norwegian and international music industries, with projects spanning rock, alternative music, and game and television soundtracks. In 2024, he contributed as a key songwriter and producer on works connected to two of the world’s largest gaming companies, Tencent and Riot Games. He co-wrote “Red Hood” for the game Nikke: Goddess of Victory, published by Tencent, and “Rebel Heart” for Riot Games and the Netflix series Arcane Season 2, based on League of Legends. Following the release of the episode featuring the song on November 16, 2024, Arcane debuted at number one globally on Netflix.

Alongside his international work, Selen has played a major role as a songwriter and producer for several Norwegian artists. During 2024, he produced and co-wrote released material for both Fixation and STORM, while also contributing extensively to upcoming projects, including songs for Ida Maria, Djerv, and additional material for STORM.

Together with the other members of Fixation, he won the 2024 Norwegian Music Publishers Award for Breakthrough of the Year and was nominated in the category Song of the Year for the song “Ignore the Disarray”.

He was also nominated for the 2025 Norwegian Music Publishers Award in the category Sync of the Year together with Agnete Maria Forfang Kjølsrud and Erlend Gjerde for the use of “Rebel Heart” in the TV series Arcane: League of Legends. Following the success of the Arcane soundtrack, Djerv was additionally nominated for International Success of the Year at the 2025 Norwegian Grammys.
